This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed when you use the Zapp Calendar app and this website at zappcalendar.app.

2. Principles

Zapp Calendar is a locally operating calendar app. It processes your input exclusively on your iPhone. No content data is transmitted to our servers. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no in-app tracking.

3. Processing inside the App

a) Entered text and event content

Text you type in Zapp Calendar (natural-language event sentences) is analyzed locally on your device. Recognized events are written directly to your Apple Calendar via the EventKit framework. At no point is this data transmitted to the provider or to third parties.

b) Calendar access

The app requires iOS calendar access in order to save events. This permission is requested by iOS the first time you save. You can revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings. Calendar data remains in Apple Calendar and is managed exclusively by iOS or iCloud — not by the provider.

c) In-app purchase „Zapp Pro"

The optional one-time purchase „Zapp Pro" uses Apple's in-app-purchase mechanism. Payment is handled by Apple. The provider receives no payment data. For Apple's privacy practices see apple.com/legal/privacy.

d) No analytics or tracking tools in the app

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no third-party crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no other tracking technologies.

4. Processing on this Website

a) Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When pages are loaded, Cloudflare automatically processes server log data (including truncated IP address, timestamp, requested resource, user agent). This processing is necessary for the secure and stable delivery of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional web offering).

A data processing agreement including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) is in place with Cloudflare for data transfers to the United States. More information: cloudflare.com/gdpr.

b) Cloudflare Web Analytics

For aggregated, anonymous audience measurement, Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used. This service uses no cookies, creates no user profiles, and does not process IP addresses in a personally identifiable form. No consent is therefore required.

c) Contact by email

If you contact us at [email protected], the transmitted data (email address, content) is processed in order to respond to your request. Mail is forwarded to the provider's mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. Data is deleted once no longer required for the purpose; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

The following service providers are involved in processing:

• Cloudflare, Inc., USA — website hosting, email routing, web analytics.
• Apple Inc., USA — app distribution, payment processing for in-app purchases, iCloud synchronization (where enabled).

6. Retention

Personal data is deleted once it is no longer required for the stated purposes. Cloudflare server logs are typically anonymized or deleted within a few weeks. Contact emails are retained until the request is resolved and beyond that only within the scope of statutory retention obligations.
